Curriculum Aims, Goals and Objectives

 I came across on my studies that I need to know some facts, and information about curriculum itself as a part of school's building knowledge. 

When we hear the word curriculum, what's in your mind?

Maybe some of the student will fall to think that Curriculum it's only a part of their Schools attainment Mission, Vision and Goals. Let as know the purpose of curriculum, why do the schools need to have curriculum. 

A formal curriculum is embedded in a formal institution called schools. Schools are established institutions which are either run by the government or by the sector.

Based on the Philippine Constitution of 1987, all schools shall aim to:

1. inculcate patriotism and nationalism
   
2. foster love of humanity
   
3. promote respect for human rights
4. appreciate the role of national heroes in the historical development of the country
5. teach the rights and duties of citizenship
   
6. strengthen ethical and spiritual values
   
7. develop moral character and personal discipline
   
8. encourage critical and creative thinking 
   
9. broaden scientific ant technological knowledge and promote vocational efficiency
   

Now, we know the purposes and goals of curriculum.
